Tamang Heritage Trail Trek is a cultural trek into the Langtang region. This trek goes into the typical Tamang village such as Ghatlang and Thuman in Rasuwa Nepal. Lies with the border with Tibet China; this region has a fusion of their culture and tradition. Although people are Tamang and they are one of the ethnic groups of Nepal.
The name itself represents this trek is a complete cultural Trek. So that doing this trek means closely getting an opportunity to enjoy with Tamang tradition. Their everyday lifestyle, living tradition, culture, and religion. Tamang means horse rider.
In the local language, Ta means horse, and mang means rider and trader. And history says that this community used to move from one place to another. So that Tamangs find most of the hilly regions of Nepal.
Sadly, the Tamang Heritage Trail Trek area was also badly damaged by an earthquake in 2015. After that, this area’s traditional styles of houses have been a bit changed. However, they are trying to keep their authenticity alive but that looks a bit modernization. And after the earthquake, the natural hot spring in Tatopani village has been disappeared.

This trek is an all-season trek, however, spring and autumn are the best seasons. The Spring season offers the nicest view and very suitable weather. During this season rhododendron, flowers will bloom in the wilderness.
