Annapurna Circuit Trek is also called the Annapurna Round Trek. This trans-Himalayan region is a magical land on earth. The world’s highest peaks to the world’s deepest gorge and the world’s highest lake to the most significant Hindu temple are here. So that this trek is home to everyone who wishes to have an extra experience of real trekking in the Himalayas.

Trekking starts below 1000 m above sea level and ends over 5400m above sea level. Amazing vistas of the Annapurna massif, historical Buddhist monasteries, and stupas. Heavy wind may blow away your hats while walking down to Jomsom from Muktinath. Because this Kaligandaki valley prevails as the windy valley and it starts after 10 am.

Daily walking route of Annapurna Circuit Trek

Day 1Drive to Bulubule from Kathmandu or Pokhara
Day 2Bulbule to Ghermu
Day 3 Ghermu to Taal
Day 4Taal to Timang
Day 5 Timang to Chame
Day 6Chame to Pisang
Day 7Pisang to Manang via Ghayru and Nawal
Day 8: Rest day (Walk to one of the viewpoints)
Day 9Manang to Yak Kharka
Day 10 Yak Kharka to High Camp
Day 11 High Camp to Muktinath
Day 12Muktinath to Lubra/ Kagbeni
Day 13 Lubra to Jomsom
Day 14 Fly or drive back to Pokhara.

Require Trekking Permits for ACT Trek

Annapurna Circuit Trek is a popular trekking trail inside the Annapurna Conservation Area. So that to do trekking to this trans-Himalayan land requires trekking permits. The first permit is an ACAP permit and which cost $30 per person, this permit will issue by Nepal Tourism Board Kathmandu and the ACAP office in Pokhara.

And another needed trekking permit to do Annapurna Round Trek is TIMS Card (Trekking Information Management System) This permit can purchase at NTB Kathmandu and TAAN Office, and also can buy from the ACAP office in Pokhara and TAAN office in Pokhara. It will cost $20 per person and can use for all the normal trekking trails inside the Annapurna Conservation Area.

Nar Phu Valley.

Nar and Phu’s valley is an isolated village in Manang. Lied behind the Pisang Peak and this area is government-protected territory. That is why need to issue a restricted area trekking permit to get there. Because these two villages are very special and contain something valuable.

Day 1: Koto to Metha
Day 2 Metha to Phu Gaun
Day 3 Explore Phu Gaun
Day 4 Phu Gaon to Nar Gaun
Day 5 Nar Gaun to Nawal via Kangla Pass

Hike to Tilicho Lake

Tilicho Lake is known as the world’s highest lake. Suited with an elevation of 4919m above sea level this icy lake is worth visiting while doing the Annapurna Circuit Trek. For that, you need to add these many days to your holiday.
