Day 1 Drive from Pokhara to Birethani and trek to Ulleri

Drive from Pokhara to Birethnti will take around one and half hours to two hours. In Birethanti there is Permit and TIMS card checkpoint where you need to register your permit and TIMS card. Then walk through Hille, Thikhedunga, and climb to Ulleri. People use to that there are 3500 steps to climb to reach Ulleri. The total walk will take around 4 to 5 hours.

Day 2 Ulleri to Ghorepani

Today will be an easy day to walk to Ghorepani. Waking into the little jungle and crossing little villages and tea shops. It all depends on how you walk in the mountain so the total time will take around 4/5 hours to reach Ghorepani. While walking to Ghorepani the majestic view of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhere will give you the mountain smile. From Ghorepani, you can enjoy the panoramic view of Mt. Dhaulagiri and other peaks.

Day 3: Early morning hike to Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani

Everyone will wake up early in the morning to hike up Poon Hill. Poon Hill is the viewpoint located at the altitude of 3210m above sea level to see sunrise and sunset. The hike will take around 45m to one hour to reach Poon Hill. This is one of the crowded viewpoints inside the Annapurna region.

After the Poon Hill hike, you will walk to Tadapani. Along the way at Banthanti will eat lunch. Climbing up to Ulleri after crossing the river is a bit tough. Total timing might be 6 to 7 hours for today’s trek.

Day 4 Trek to Ghandruk and drive back to Pokhara.

From Tadapani to Ghandruk it just takes around 2 hours to walk. Most of the time need to walk down inside the jungle Via Bhainshi Kharka.

This trek is able done all year and all seasons. In a year there are four different seasons, among these four-season spring and autumn are the best season to do this trek. During spring the rhododendron flowers will bloom and the weather is also not very cold nighter hot. Autumn is the festive season and the weather-wise very clear for mountain view.

During summer a bit of rain and consider the rainy season but still this trek will offer the best trekking experience. During the winter season, there will be cold in Nepal and other trekking are very difficult to do during this season. But Poon Hill Trek is possible to do even in the cold and icy.

Add Annapurna Base Camp Trek on your journey to Poon Hill is extend your hike into the Annapurna Himalaya. Need to add a few more days to this itinerary to be in the base camp of the world’s 10th highest peak. The trekking trail will change from Tadapani. To end the trek in four days you have to follow the way to Ghandruk and continue to ABC need to follow the trail to Chhomrong.
