Kalinchowk Tour - A journey to the holi land of Dolakha

Kalinchowk tour is one night two days full of fun activity in the Dolakha District. Kalichowk Bhagwati Temple is located on the top of the highland of Kuri Village. The elevation of this most significant Hindu Temple is 3800 meters above sea level. This place is one of the most popular travel destinations among Nepalese travelers.

The journey to Kalinchowk starts with a drive from Kathmandu to Charikot Dolakha. From Kathmandu, there is an effortlessly gets bus and jeep to Charikot Dolakha. From Charikot also easily available jeep to Kuri Village. Kuri Village is the base camp of Kalinchowk Hill. There is an option from Kuri to the top, hiking or taking the cable car.

Takes around an hour to reach on top but it depends on how you walk. This means for some people it might take longer than an hour. Another element that makes it slow to walk is the high altitude because needs to walk nearly 4000m above sea level. On the other hand, taking the cable car is just 10 minutes to be on the top. However, I prefer to hike because I love to walk in the mountains.

The first day is just driving to Kuri Village and spending an overnight in a Hotel. There are so many hotels that offer grand facilities. It all depends on your choice and what kind of hotel you like.

The next day wakes up early in the morning and makes a trip to Kalinchowk Temple. Worship the Goddess Kali and then back to Kuri village. Checked out from the hotel and then drive to Dolakha Bhimsen Temple. Dolakha Bhimsen Temple is another the most important Hindu Temple in Nepal.

From the top of the Kalinchowk, there will be changes to enjoy picturesquely seen Mountain Peaks and Landscapes. Hence, you can take some beautiful photos from the top of the Kalimchowk.

After visiting both temples tour will back to Kathmandu. Along the way back to Kathmandu you can stop at Mudde Village. Mudde Village is very popular for Potato and Chhurpi. So that you can stop to buy Potatoes and Chhuri as a souvenir for friends and family.

Especially during the winter season, many visitors go to Kalinchowk. This is the best season because there is an opportunity to play snow. To play in the snow is the dream for the people who live in the city such as Kathmandu, and Bhaktapur.
