Tsum Valley Trek

Tsum Valley Trek is one of the restricted trekking areas in the Manaslu region of Nepal. This isolated trekking area is the second-best trek in the Manaslu Region treks. Due to the restricted trekking trail and quite an expensive trekking permit; this trekking trail is less crowded than Annapurna and Everest region trekking trails. Tsum Valley has its own unique culture and traditions.

Follow the same trekking trail of Manaslu Trek and then walk the eastern side of the mighty Manaslu. Walking upon the bank of the Budi Gandaki river the settlement of Arughat, Machhekhola, Tatopani, Jagat, and Philm. From Lokpa this trek heads to Chhokang Paro and all the way to Mu Gumba.

The Tsum Valley Trek route takes you into the pine forest, cascading waterfalls, sacred Buddhist monasteries, typical villages, and rushing river streams. Outstanding glimpses of the Ganesh Himal, Himalchuli, and Buddha Himal ranges. This trek is a fabulous adventure journey to an isolated part of the cultural and natural majesty.

Day 3 Machhe Khola to Jagat

This itinerary is just about Tsum Valley Trek. In this is itinerary if you want for a longer adventure in Manaslu Conservation Area; you can add Manaslu Circuit Trek at the same time. That after walking for some time from Lokpa to down need to turn the right side and follow the way to Manaslu Trek.

Requires Permits for The Trek

Manaslu Conservation Area Permit (MCAP) $30

Special Permit or restricted trekking area permit. (This permit costs differently at different times. During Autumn is cost $40 per week and other times $30 per week)

TIMS Card $20

Permit only issued by the registered trekking company and license holder guide is mandatory for this trek.

When to Trek there

This trek can do during Spring and Autumn. Because during this season weather is normally very clear and there will be amazing views.

Autumn – September, October, November
