Each day people like to explore new tourist destinations and people love to enjoy the beautiful places in Kathmandu. During the lockdown by a coronavirus, a team of young people found a place called Bhundole Chaur, it’s a ground surrounded by the forest. Since then this place has become viral on social media and people love to be there. To explore this beautiful place you need to do Bhundole Chaur Hiking.

Bhundole Ground is best for the camping lover because it’s the best place near Kathmandu to camp and enjoy nature. While camping there will be just your team and some other team and one man who stays there as the watchman. Nowadays that man will collect 100 rupees minimum for a group and he will clean the ground.

Bhundole Chaur Hike

This destination is best for a short or half-day hike and having a great time with your loved ones. Bhundole Chaur is becoming a picnic spot and a super cool place to spend quality time; especially during the weekend. Your kids will love to play and run here and there because it’s an open place under the blue sky. The ground of this place looks exactly like a beautiful green carpet during the summer season. However, during the other season, it will be a bit dry.

Bhundole Chaur Hiking is around one and half hour’s hike. Seti Devi Temple side and if you are looking for a long-time walk you can combine with Champa Devi Hike. But if you start your hike from Pharping then it will take around one and a half or two hours to reach Bhundole Ground. You can take your bike nearby the Bhundole Chour but it will be a very rough ride via Dhaksinkali Football Ground. Still, you have to walk around 10 to 15 minutes to get there.

If you start your hike from Pharping, take a bus or taxi to Pharping then follow the Khulekheni Road. For some time and then turn right to the Asura Cave (It is one of the most important Buddhist sites in Kathmandu). It’s believed that Guru Rimpoche meditates here. Then walk on the steps all the way to Old Dhakshinkali Temple. And the road to Dhaksinkali Football ground and all the way up to Bhundole Parking Area. This one is the nicer hiking route to Bhundole Chour.

While hiking up, you can enjoy a great view of the surrounding areas. And the prayer flags are so amazing to see. And the Old Dhaksinkali Temple, the great statue of the Guru Rimpoche in the Dholu Village, and some of the monastery’s views are always nice to see.

Note. If you are going to hike to Bhundole Chaur take enough water and some food. Although you can get some snacks and water there and you can not get better food there. So better to take it with you. And at the end please collect all the trash you made there and bring it back or put it in the dustbin nearby the ground. Please don’t make dirty this beautiful spot also save nature and enjoy your hike.
