Durbar Marg – The VIP merchandise location in the city

Durbar Marg – The VIP merchandise location in the city of Kathmandu. Located in the heart of the Kathmandu Valley, this is one of the most secure zones in the capital city. Because of the downtown, this area is easily accessible from every part of the city.

Why is Durbar Marg the VIP merchandise location in the city area?

This area is only for high-class people, because the whole area’s shops are world-class brand shops, such as Adidas, Nike, and other worldwide popular brands, so that this rich area’s shops are mostly a target for the rich people, such as celebrities, athletes, gamblers, and people who want expensive and branded stuff to purchase in Nepal.

Another reason is that this region has five-star hotels like Annapurna, Yak, and Yeti. Also, the restaurants and casinos, as well as the international franchise restaurants such as KFC and Pizza Hut, first established in Nepal, are on the Durbar Marg. The world-class nightclubs are located in this place. So those five-star hotels, casinos, restaurants, and nightclubs are for very fancy people.

The royal place is another example of the richness of this area. And I think this place is popular as the Durbar Marg because the royal palace is in that area. In Nepali, royal means Durbar. That is the royal palace where the royal massacre happened in 2001, killing the whole royal family. Now that the royal palace is converted into a museum, everyone can go there, but they need to buy an entry ticket.
