Paul Shah is one of the most popular models and actors in the Nepali film industry. He was born on 1989 September 15 in the Dang District of Nepal. Born in a middle-class family, his father is in the army; his father has a dream to make his son also in the service. But after finishing school in Dang, actor Shah came to Kathmandu for further study and work. Paul Shah’s official name is Purna Bikram Shah.
He chose a career in the entertainment industry as a video editor. At the beginning of his career, he had to struggle a lot, and slowly he changed his career to acting in music videos. His initial music videos are not that popular, and gradually, he became known in the industry as a music video model. And currently, he is the most demanding music video actor nowadays.
His first well-known music video was Ko Hola Tyo, Intoo Minto. Since then, he has not had to glance back. Till now, he has played more than a thousand music videos; all of them have become popular in the Nepali music industry. He gave numerous hit songs through his real acting in the music videos. And then he started his acting career in the film industry and got a breakthrough from Nai Nabannu La. And then give some hit films as Ma Yesto Geet Gaunchhu, Jonny Gentleman, Shatru Gatte, and the newly released Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu 2. All the films are super hits in the Nepali Film industry. And he won many awards related to the entertainment sector, which are the consequences of his hard work and determination in this industry.
People treat him as the real hero because of his involvement in social work. He always supports the people when they need help, such as during flooding and other natural disasters. His recent contributions during COVID-19 were notable to everyone in Nepal. He involved himself in supporting the people by providing food and oxygen to those in need. He donated many necessary things to the people in Kathmandu and its surroundings.
However, his recent controversy with singer Samiksha Adhikari put him in custody. In this controversial case, Adhikari filed a rape case against actor Paul Shah. And the actor surrendered himself to the Tanau police, where the case was filed. And police took him into custody for seven days for the full investigation.
After a year in jail, on 23 February 2023, he was freed from jail. And he is continuing his journey in the film and music industry.
