I got my first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

Long await things just started and I go my first dose of the coronavirus vaccine today. There are some tourism organizations that organize vaccines for the tourism workers but because of my own problems; I was not able to make a vaccine. And also I was a bit afraid to stay for a whole day long in the queue; so that I got the first dose of the vaccine after almost two years of this epidemic outbreak.

I show the news on social media about the vaccine is going all the 32 wards of the Kathmandu municipality and I decided to have one this time. Then search the place where they are giving the vaccine and that place was nearby where I am living. Exactly at 10 am in the morning I went there; when I was there, there were not many people and I stayed in the line for 15 minutes for the registration process and in the next 5 minutes, I got my first dose of the vaccine.

Today there they were given two different vaccines one AstraZeneca (Japanese) and another one is  Sinopharm  Vero Cell (Chinese). AstraZeneca was the second dose only and Vero Cell was both the first and second dose were available so that I got Vero Cell. Vero Cell is the one which is used by the number of people in Nepal because the Nepal government buying this one from China. I found people are looking for vaccines and they are happy to get vaccines as soon as possible and this is a positive sign to prevent this virus.

In the beginning; I was a bit afraid because some people who took this vaccine before told me they felt a bit sick. And some people said they feel nothing so that I was in dilemma should I take it or not and what will happen when I will take this vaccine. At first, I felt a bit of pain when they injected into my left shoulder, and after that nothing. But when I arrived home I felt a bit of pain in my left shoulder where I got the vaccine.

Today I got the first dose and from today I am feeling a bit safe from this virus. Because experts are saying having a vaccine is 90% safe from this virus. And I have to wait the next 3 weeks to get the second one and after that; I will be the full dose of the vaccine against the Covid 19. Thank you Nepal government for providing vaccines for free to the public.  I request all of you to take this vaccine as soon as possible when that is available in your area.
