Lovely day to walk Muktinath to Jomsom

Today we walked Muktinath to Jomsom so it was a lovely day to walk Muktinath to Jomsom. Our original schedule was to visit Lubra village. but we have to change our plan because we were very tired and out of the internet for a long time. So that we changed our walking trip from Muktinath to Kagbeni.

After breakfast in Ranipauwa Muktinath, we visited Muktinath Temple and surrounding Buddhist monuments. Visit those places that are really mindful and peaceful after such a long walk in the mountains. And added some more energy to walk more.

Muktinath is a very popular pilgrimage site in Nepal. Especially for Hindu peoples who follow the Hindu religion and Bisnavism. People believe when they shower in the 108 taps and two ponds in there and they wish their wish. That will be fulfilled by the Muktinath god. And they are cleaned of the sins they did in the past.

We spent around 1 hour in the Muktinath area and took some photos. Then backed to the hotel and packed our luggage to walk to Kagbeni. We followed the trail to Jharkot. Jharkot is a beautiful village in Mustang. In Jharkot we visited a beautiful monastery and witnessed a puja ceremony there.

That puja is about the goodwill, happiness, good health, and prosperity of the villagers and all the people around the world. That kind of puja they do twice a year and in the spring used to be the big one. We spent around half an hour there then followed the way to Kinga.

Till Kinga, we walked on the side trail. Afterward, we followed the blacktop road. Walking on the road I found very irritating but the beautiful mountains view encouraged us to walk in there. Someplace we found the walking trail nearby Kagbeni but that is very steep and very difficult to walk.

Kagbeni is a beautiful village in Mustang. This place is popular from both religious points of view and historical points of view. Religiously people bring their demise peoples asses to the final farewell. Historically, this place is the tax collection center for traders, and there used to be a royal castle.

In Kagbeni we slept in the hotel Dragen. This hotel is on the upper side of the Village and in a good location. And I used to live in that hotel. This time I found the hotel owner is a bit rude and unhelpful and overcharged us. So that I request all the trekking guides don’t go there. However, we had a lovely day walking from Muktinath to Jomsom.
