Everest Region Treks – Hikes into the world highest Land

Everest is known as the world’s highest point on earth, hike into this region is called the Everest region trek. Everest is located in the eastern region of Nepal with an elevation of 8848m above sea level. This land is very diverse in nature and culture. By nature, there are so many snowy mountain peaks and very dramatic landscapes. In cultural living, Sherpa people follow the Buddhist religion. Different kinds of flora and fauna are also surrounded in this beautiful area.

To protect this Himalayan land, this area is inside the Sagarmatha National Park. The Everest region is also listed as a UNESCO heritage site. So that this region is a very important and protected area. Although this region is open for trekking and mountaineering activities.

In the Everest region, there are different trekking trails. Such as the classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Everest high passes trek or Three passes trek, Gokyo valley trek, Chola Pass Trek, and Giri to Everest Base Camp Trek. In these, all the trekking trails are open for to do trekking for all nationalities around the world.

The most adventurous and popular activity is mountain climbing in this region. Because in this region there are many mountain peaks and those all the mountains are possible to climb. During spring and autumn, at the Everest Base Camp, there are a number of trekkers, and mountain climbers reached. Some of them are successful to climb and some of them have to try next time.

There are many viewpoints including Kalapatter, Gokyo Ri, and Chhukung Ri. All the viewpoints are crowded during trekking and mountaineering seasons. From those viewpoints can observe beautiful sunrise and sunset view as well as the world’s highest mountain peaks. Amazing landscapes and glaciers can see from the top of those Ri.

Everest Base Camp Trek.

Everest region treks have varieties of treks among them; Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the most popular and trekked trekking trails in the region. This trek can start from different places but the most common one is starting from Lukla. Lukla is the base camp or gateway of the Everest Base Camp Trek. Lukla airport is known as the world’s most dangerous airport and it is named Tenzing Hillary Airport. This trek starts from here and ends here.

To do this trek means to be in the lap of the world’s highest point Mt. Everest 8848.86m above sea level. The height of the base camp is 5364m but during this base camp trek, there is an opportunity to be in the 5545m at Kalapatter. Kalapatter is one of the viewpoints in the Everest region treks and the best viewpoint for mount Everest view and the Khumbu glacier view.

In this region live the Sherpa people follow the Buddhist religion. Therefore along the way, we can see a lot of Stupas, Mani Walls, Prayers wheels, Prayers flags, and Monasteries. The Sherpa people are the kings of the mountain who easily climb the world’s highest peaks including Mount Everest.

Trekking itinerary Of Everest Base Camp Trek

Day 1 Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding.
Day 2 Trek to Namche Bazar
Day 3 Acclimatize day and hike to the Everest viewpoint
Day 4 Trek to Tengboche
Day 5 Trek to Dingboche
Day 5 Trek to Labuche
Day 6 Trek to Gorekshep and hike to Everest Base Camp
Day 7: Hike to Kalapatter and Trek down to Pheriche
Day 8 Trek to Namche Bazar
Day 9 Trek to Lukla

Everest Panorama Trek

Everest Panorama Trek is another beautiful and short trek inside the Everest region. And also called Everest View Trek. This is the short version of the Everest Base Camp trek to enjoy the mount Everest view. This trek is suitable for all age groups people. So for everyone who wishes to see the top of the world this trek is the best option to choose. To do this trek also need to follow the same trail as the classic Everest Base Camp Trek.

Day 1 Fly to Lukla and Trek to Manju
Day 2 Trek to Namche Bazar
Day 3 Explore the Namche Bazaar
Day 4 Trek to Khumjung and Explore Khumjung
Day 5 Trek to Tengboche
Day 6 Trek back to Namche
Day 7 Trek to Lukla
Day 8 Fly back to Kathmandu.

This itinerary is customizable so the quickest one to do this trek is in 5 days and possible to make it longer as well by adding more days. And continual walks to the Gokyo Lake and Everest Base Camp are a suitable option to make this trek longer.
