Day 1 Drive from Pokhara to Birethanti and trek to Ghandruk.

Day 2 Ghandruk to Chhomrong

Day 3 Chhomrong to Himalayan

Day 4 Himalayan to Annapurna Base Camp

Day 5 ABC to Bamboo

Day 6 Bamboo to Ghinu Danda (Hot spring)

Day 7 Ghinu to Kyumi and drive to Pokhara.

This 6-night 7 days itinerary is the standard trekking itinerary to reach Annapurna Base Camp. However, days can enhance your wish for Poon Hill, Mardi Himal Trek, and Dhampus Trek.

The second most popular route to trek to ABC is via Poon Hill.

Annapurna Base Camp trek via Ghorepani Poon Hill is a longer version of the Annapurna Trek. But adding this site to your itinerary will give you a better experience of this trek. Day 1 Drive from Pokhara to Birethanti and trek to Ulleri

Day 3 Hike to Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani

Day 4 Tadapani to Chhomrong

The next day follows the classic Annapurna Base Camp Trekking route to the Himalayan. And end by taking a natural hot spring bath at Ghinu Danda.

When to Trek

Annapurna Base Camp trek is also a whole-year accessible trek. Although, spring and autumn are the best time to trek to Annapurna Base Camp. Because these two seasons have the best mountain view, festival season, and different types of Rhododendron flowers.

On the other hand, summer and winter are not the best as spring and autumn. Summer is the rainy season and during the rainy season, others will be rainy. And during the winter there will be a lot of snow and everything will be frozen.

What kind of permit need and from where and how to get those?

Well, permits are vital things to get before you start your trek to Annapurna Base Camp. The permit can issue by The Nepal Tourism Board in Kathmandu and ACAP office in Pokhara.

If you are doing Free Independent Traveler (FIT) need to go to these places with a photocopy of your passport and three pics of Passport size photos. And it will cost 3000 rupees for a Permit and $20 for a TIMS card.

And joining the trekking companies will manage your permit and TIMS Card (Trekking Information Management System)

How to start this trek

At first, depending on where you want to start the trek. From Kathmandu need to drive or fly to Pokhara and spend an overnight and then drive to Birethanti. Again if you are in Pokhara take a bus, jeep, taxi, or private vehicle.
