Snowfall in Kathmandu’s High Hills

Every year in the wintertime there will be snowfall in Kathmandu’s high hills. High hills such as Chandragiri, Phulchoki, Nagarkot, Shivapuri Hill, and other many hills. These places are the best hiking destinations near Kathmandu as well. So hiking while snowy is one of the best hiking experiences in Kathmandu. 

In all these places there will be snow during the winter season and this is a good chance to enjoy the fresh snow for the people of the Kathmandu Valley. Those hills are the best place to experience snowfalls in Kathmandu and its surroundings.

Since this evening, it has been snowing in. Kathmandu’s hills. On the other hand, in the high Himalayas, there has been snow from last week. It has been raining a bit from this afternoon in Kathmandu and that is why there is snowfall surrounding Kathamdnu’s high hills.

Among those high hills, Chandragiri Hill is the easy option to go and enjoy the fresh snow. Because in Chandragiri there is a Cable Car to go on the hilltop. Chandragiri is not only a hilltop it’s a holy place as well. Also, this place is a trending travel destination for the locals.

Today’s snowfall will attract thousands of visitors around Kathmandu’s high hills. However, we need to be careful with the cold because this rain and snowfall in the surrounding hills; will make it very cold in the Kathmandu Valley. So stay warm everyone to stay safe from the cold.

If you are going to play snow in some of those hills; wear warm clothes. Good boots, warm socks, gloves, hats. And take some extra clothes with you because it might get wet when you play fresh snow.
