Nepal T20 League

Cricket is the second most popular sport in Nepal after football. Nepal T20 Cricket League is the official domestic Men’s T20 cricket league organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). This league is one of the biggest cricket leagues in Nepal after the Everest Premier League. This is the first time CAN officially organizing such a huge Cricket League in Nepal. This Cricket League is authorized by the International Cricket Council ICC. 

In this league, there are six different teams representing different cities in Nepal. Such as Kathmandu Knight, Pokhara Aventure, Janakpur Royals, Lumbini All Stars, Far West United, and Biratnagar Super Kings. To play this twenty20 league some of the huge names from the world of cricket play for the different franchises. Big names such as Upul Tharanga from Srilanka, Sikandar Raja from Zimbabwe, and many more. 

Almost all Nepalese players are also playing for various teams. Unfortunately, the biggest start of Nepali Cricketer Sandeep Lamichane was missing the first-ever Nepal T20 Cricket League. Because he is in custody after filing a rape case against him by a minor girl. Except for him almost like all the other National Cricket players are playing in this mega event.

Games playing at the TU Cricket Ground Kirtipur Kathmandu. However, there are not that many cricket fans are there to watch live matches. It’s the first time such massive games are supporter less. And the organizer offers free entry and still, there are not many spectators on the ground to watch this league.
