Nepal National Cricket Team

Cricket is one of the most popular sports in Nepal after football and Nepalese people follow this sport very crazily, especially the young people. Nepal National Cricket Team is playing cricket since 1996 as an associate member of the ICC. (International Cricket Council). During this period Nepal cricket achieved ODI status and played the ICC T20 World cup. And nowadays Nepal is playing the ICC World division 2 to save their ODI status and they are in the last two. 

The cricketing body of Nepal is CAN (The Cricket Association of Nepal) and it was banned for a long time by ICC because of its intransparent work. And recently ICC gave them the full power of CAN to operate the cricket activities in Nepal. Otherwise, ICC used to be the back support and supervision of how CAN will work. Recently there was misunderstood between CAN and players about the grading system. 

And because of that issue the present captain Mr. Gyanendra Mall was sacked by CAN. And they appointed Mr. Sandeep Lamichhane as the new caption of the Nepal National Cricket Team. Since then Nepal played two international series and they performed on average. And after the Nepal cricket team tour to Scotland and an unforgettable defeat; the head coach Pududu Dassabayake regained the role as the head coach of the Nepal National Cricket Team.

Nepal vs Kenya T20 Cricket Match 2022 August

Nepal National Cricket Team is going to play 3 match T20 international series verses Kenya from August 25 to August 28. There are some big changes in the team and couching staff because there are recently appointed the new head coach. And one of the senior player Gyanendra Malla come back into the team after some time. And some young players like Kushal Bhurtel and veteran Binod Bandari and other young players are out from the team.

Name list of the Nepali players who are going to Kenya for T20 series. Under the new head coach Manoj Prabhakar. Manoj Prabhakar is newly appointed Nepal national cricket head coach and this series is his first game as the head coach of Nepal.

In this side there are some new players who have selected first time in the Nepal national team. Such as Partish GC, Harisankar Shah, and Arjun Saud. They are selected in the National Team as their performance in the domestic cricket.

Nepal national team won the 5 matches T20 international series by 3-2. It was average performance by the national cricket team. Because the Kenya National Cricket Team is not that strong nowadays, although they used to play with the world strongest team some time before. The five match T20 International Series was like this the first match Nepal won by 5 wickets. Second match Kenya won by 18 runs, the third match Nepal won by 4 wickets. And the final two matches win by each team one one, fourth match Kenya won by 7 runs and the last match Nepal won by 31 runs. 

After T20 International series Nepal National Cricket Team and Kenya National Cricket Team going to play one day international matches.
