Holi Festival – The festival of Colors, Spring, and Harvest

The Holi festival is one of the most popular Hindu festival celebrations that take place in the Indian continent. The Holi festival is also called the festival of colors, the festival of love, and the festival of spring. This festival celebrates the end of winter and welcomes spring because spring is the biggest harvest season. Also, it is believed that Holi is celebrated as the triumph over evil by the welfare.

Holi Festival is celebrated each year on the full moon day in the month of Falgun. In Nepal, this festival celebrates two days, the first day in hilly regions and surrounding Kathmandu. The second-day holy will be celebrated in the Tarai region on the border side of India. This festival will celebrate joy, and happiness, cure your stress and anxiety and energize you to do better.

During this festival, people will get together and play with different colors and paint their faces with different colors. Also, people play with water, splash water at each other, and people walk on the street. Every place and everyone celebrates Holi with their friends and family members; by sharing their love with each other. So that this festival will celebrate the repair of broken relationships.

In Kathmandu, thousands of young people will gather in the Kathmandu Durbar Square complex to celebrate the Holi Festival. And everywhere in the open places, locals are getting together to celebrate this festival of colors. The concert will be organized by a popular organization to celebrate this festival and famous celebrities will join there. For Kathmandu, Basantapur Durbar Square is the main center to play Holi. 

Nowadays this festival is celebrated in some other countries in Europe and America too. Mostly in those countries where Nepali and Indian people live. It’s gaining popularity because it’s a celebration of love and support and reunion. The purity of this auspices festival makes everyone interested in this festive.
