Democracy Day – Prajatantra Diwas

In Nepal, every year on the 7th of the Falgun Nepali people celebrates Democracy day -Prajatantra Diwas. It was established by the people of Nepal who were breathed under the cruel Rana monarchy. In 2007 B.S Falgun 7th the King Tribhuvan announced the Prajatrantra. Prajtrantra is a governing system of the public, where people chose their government.

To gain liberation from Rana’s rule, regulations, and domination in everything; thousands of people sacrifice their lives and went out for revolution. On the power of the public uprising against Rana’s government; the Rana rulers kneel from the superpower to rule the nation. Afterward, Nepal is a democratic country, and slowly people are getting in the position to rule the country. And they can elect their representative in the Government.

To kick out the Rana’s from ruling Nepal, and start the revolution Nepali Congress party and King Tribhuvan played a big role. Because of Rana’s domination, King had taken shelter in the Indian Embassy and later on moved to Delli India. And in Nepal Nepali Congress started the historical revolution against Rana’s regime and in the end, they were able to establish.

Democracy in Nepal. Dictatorship naturally arises out of democracy, and the most aggravated form of tyranny and slavery out of the most extreme liberty – Pleto

Since then each year Falgun 7th, Nepal celebrates Democracy Day – Prajatantra Diwas. After that public system got in Nepal; there were many public insurrections, and many systems are developed. Every people raised their voice in society regarding independence and normal; people got in the ruling government to serve the populace.

After the Prajatrantra System still, there are the communities that were under the domination of rulers. As a consequence of such inequality, the Maoist insurgency started in Nepal. During the Maoist insurgency died more than 17000 people and millions of people were homeless. However, that Maoist revolution brought freedom to the public; and everyone equally participant in the Government to make rules and regulations for the Public.
